Amulet and the Smith Kids
Willow Smith and Brother Jaden are set to star in an adaptation of Kazu Kibuishi's "Amulet." It's described as a "graphic novel." The movie will be co- produced by daddy Will Smith. It is the story of a brother and sister who must use their dead father's amulet to rescue tehir mother from a beast. What is an amulet you ask? An Amulet is loosely defined as an object that protects or brings good luck. This movie looks pretty intense and should prove to be a challenge film for the Smith kids to tackle as they are most famous for "I Am Legend" and "The Pursuit of Happyness." Now Willow and Jaden will be sharing the big screen. Hopefully they have a good brother- sister relationship, otherwise there might be some competition on that red carpet. No word yet of a possible release date.

ReplyDeleteI love the Amulet series and the Smith kids, but the too put together is not going to end well. In the series, the femeale character is much older than the male, which is opposite the Smith kids. Plus, when adapting a movie from a graphic novel, the actors have to actually be somwhat similar to the characters, and the Smiths are absolutley nothing like the Amulet kids. The Amulet kids are Aisian (or thats what it looks like to me. they might not be).Not to be offensive, but its true.
