The King Reigns: BAFTA Awards 2011

Americans thought they had the Academy all figured out with The Social Network, and then The King's Speech came and blew everyone away. The British Academy of Film &Television honored the best of the best in film this evening. Big winners included Colin Firth, Inception, Natalie Portman, Helena Bonham Carter and David Fincher. Check out full coverage here, from my fellow entertainment guru in London, Mark Boardman. If these winners are any indication of the Oscars, which will be announced February 27th, early predictions of awards season were right, and the guilds have been suggesting imagined surprises.
