The Big Bang Theory of Your Mother

Howard's mom is like the voice of God on The Big Bang Theory. We hear her, but never see her face. She's overbearing and the stereotypical mother of a "geek."
I believe the writers' choosing to have her character not seen, but heard, amplifies the fact that Howard's mom is always looming around his head, whether she's physically present or not. His aim to please her is very apparent.

If we did actually see her, she would probably appear as one of those cute little ladies that just want to pinch your cheeks and feed you cake. She definitely would always have on way too much blush and lipstick, and appear overly made up, with an up-do type perm.
