The ironic thing is most of the people on this list are some of the most popular, sought after people in Hollywood with some of the most buzzed about films. Fear not if your favorite film made it to this list. If you own the DVD and the film wins a Razzie, you're part "winner" too!   

10 Best Films of 2010 (That No One Saw)

According to Hollywood.com these are the 10 best films of 2010 that grossed under $35 million. Here’s my take on why you missed (or didn’t miss) some great films.

Cyrus: With no one from Tennessee in this film, why WOULD you go see it? Seriously, this film made film makers everywhere think, “Yes we can make a conventional script look totally artsy.”  

  

Get Low: A movie with some possible educational value… never! People would much rather see blue people cry about trees.

127 Hours: You don’t see self amputations every day. I’m thinking surgeons in training got a kick out of this one.

Youth in Revolt: I get that Michael Cera is Hollywood’s most perfect, versatile nerd, but can we say “typecast.”

Going the Distance: Everyone loves a romantic comedy, but the film world and its avid viewers is all about the intellectual mind boggling pictures rather than feel good comedies.

Remember Me:  This movie was possibly one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Rob Pattinson isn’t a terrible actor, but the story line wanted you to have your box of tissues ready. I found it laughable.

From Paris With Love: With John Travolta and lots of explosions, I don’t understand why more people didn’t see it. Maybe it was missing Angelina Jolie.  

Morning Glory: Another feel good movie devoid of explosions and blood. Enough women couldn’t drag their men to the theaters.

She's Out of My League: One of my personal favorite movies of 2010, I think audiences have something against Paramount.  

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: This movie was harder to follow than Inception, and it was made specifically for comic book nerds. I couldn’t even find a message in the movie. Even Zombieland had a message.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: Dealing with Private Issues in the Public Eye

Lately it seems being famous is more trouble than it's worth. In the last couple of weeks, we have seen some of our favorite young celebrity role models fall on hard times.  It was unsettling to see that Demi Lovato checked into "rehab" on my local morning news- I have a lot of respect for Demi and this is completely irrelevant in relationship to the rest of the world. The only thing that matters is what Lovato chooses to do with this on a personal (for her own sake) and professional level. Demi has made the wise decision to put herself before her career. 

It's sad this had to become "top news".  Although some would call it a good model for legions of other youth, where do we draw the line between "example" and invasion of privacy?

Miley Cyrus was put on the forefront last week when her parents filed for divorce. It is rumored that certain websites are offering Cyrus large sums of money to talk to kids about coping with divorce. In this case, it's unfair that Billy Ray and Tish are being referred to as "Miley's parents." Although the divorce obviously involves Miley, she should not be the headlining Cyrus in the reports.   

These two stars have already shared so much with their fans through music, writings, interviews, even tweets, and undoubtedly have used their own experiences to help others, but the way their altruistic natures are being exploited in times of misfortune is unacceptable. 

The image of Britney Spears being carried out of her home on a stretcher comes to mind, although not the same, is similar because the press seems to love celebrity misfortune. Thoughts and prayers go out from the Fans to Demi and her family and the Cyrus family. Due to both Demi and Miley's self- proclaimed faith in God, we know they will be just fine.        

Courtney Dickinson

15 Year old Courtney Dickinson of Georgia is an upcoming country artist. Courtney says she feels at home on the stage and loves to perform. "When I was little, I used to do beauty pageants and my favorite part of it was the talent part. I loved singing and performing on stage."

She says her love of country music probably stems from her parents always having it on in the car. Good choice mom and dad! Dickinson does her schooling online, and relates that the school is very difficult, but she somehow manages to get everything done! 


Courtney's latest is entitled "Daddy Drives a Ford," and I really love this song. Courtney is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild as well as the Country Music Association. Dickinson has got a lot of people rooting for her place among the country stars!
