Miley Cyrus

What first drew me to Miley Cyrus was not her singing, not her acting, but her openness on being Christian, and fearlessness of proclaiming her beliefs. I think it is a testament to the times to be one of the most famous people in the world, and stay true to yourself. Hollywood is often seen as a world of darkness, however, new waves of stars are bringing the light of good to that world. Cyrus even backs her Christian Beliefs with the roles she chooses, for instance what she will and won't portray.
Miley's "breakout" role as Ronnie in The Last Song, which opens nationwide today. I saw the movie on Hollywood premiere night and despite the movie's PG rating, the film is a little deep for Miley's younger audience. The script was written by Nicholas Sparks with Miley in mind, therefore one could ask, is this really a "breakout role", is Miley just playing herself on a new level? My answer to that is no.
Ms. Cyrus immediately draws you into her character, and the viewer is soon saying, "Hannah who" This role matters to Cyrus' future career because while many are despondent at the idea of Hannah Montana being over, Miley has grown in and out of the role. How well this film is received will determine the direction of Cyrus' career. Miley is undoubtedly talented in both singing and acting, the challenge is to continue widening her audience range. Cyrus has set a new, albeit, unreachable standard for upcoming Disney Stars because she is in a category of her own. Fans seem to respect Cyrus' growth, add that to Miley's nonstop drive to create and you have a talented, self driven marketing machine. The Last Song is a must see, for all of the great talent in the film, but especially for Miley Cyrus' new beginning that is sure to pave a long successful acting career.
