Windsor Drive

Music can work on the emotions like a good Nicholas Sparks novel, but its not often I find music that takes me to another place. The music of Windsor Drive does just that. The band posted a new song yesterday entitled, "Going Under," and after listening to it, you would think this band has been around for years. With influences like Ben Folds and U2, added to gospel roots, this alternative rock group is sure to please the ears of any music lover. My personal favorite song is "Make Believe." Definitely check out Windsor Drive here. They are sure to be rocking all over your radio and TV. You can pick up their latest EP entitled "Under the Weather," on tour dates or through direct order through their official store powered by Pledge Music. WARNING: Windsor Drive music is highly addictive!

Marianas Trench

Marianas Trench is a pop punk band out of Vancouver, British Columbia. They are huge in Canada right now, and if you watched the MMVMAs, which were highly publicized in the US this year, you saw them there. Their album, Masterpiece Theatre, produced by 604 Records, will be released in the US September 28th, 2010. It will be refreshing to have some new sound on the US pop circuit. While it seems everyone is going goo goo for GaGa, its a band like Marianas Trench that reminds us of the real emotions music carries. An admirable fact from their website (http://www.marianastrench.net) is that although they were in high demand, they didn't want to compromise their music for a quick buck. Frontman Josh Ramsay says, "I was not interested in putting something out for the sake of putting something out." When you listen to their music, the band's emphasis on quality sound and meaningful lyrics is evident. Marianas Trench holds up to their musical standards in their influences of Green Day, Ben Folds Five, The Beach Boys, Queen, and The Foo Fighters. You can listen to a song by Marianas Trench, and say, "it sounds like..." but realize just how unique their sound is. US Tour Dates should be announced soon, so demand Marianas Trench, and pick up their album on September 28th. It's a great addition to any music lover's collection!
