Social Media Gives the Appetite for The Hunger Games

Just 50 days until the opening day of The Hunger Games movie. In celebration Lionsgate is giving away tickets to the March 12th premiere at the Nokia Theater in LA via Twitter to fans. Tweet #Hungergames50 for a chance to win through many of the partners of The Hunger Games Movie. 

Announced yesterday, The Hunger Games will have its very own Facebook game, "The Hunger Games Adventures," where players can explore the 12 districts, completing missions along the way. It's a sign of the times that the official game for this film is being launched on Facebook, the world's most prominent social tool. The game will provide fans with a first look at the world of Panem, and the layout of the districts. The world will slowly reveal itself, much like unraveling the story through the pages of a book.

"Safe and Sound" The Hunger Games Is On!

When I heard that Taylor Swift was going to be featured on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games, I immediately pictured Taylor Swift singing "Love Story", frolicking through the woods alongside Peeta and Katniss. Thankfully, for the sanctity of one of the most anticipated films this year, my vision is far from the truth. "Safe and Sound" fits the story, and after viewing trailers, the direction director Gary Ross has taken to adapt the best-selling novel to the big screen.
Since music is a huge part of bringing audiences into the world of the film, the release of "Safe and Sound" was not only great buzz for already excited fans, but reassuring for fans wondering if the movie will live up to their expectations.
