Alpha Rev

I discovered Alpha Rev on The Last Song Soundtrack with the title track of their album, “New Morning,” which was released April 27th. My only complaint about The Last Song was that "New Morning" was only a soft background piece, and could've been much bigger.
“New Morning” caught my attention immediately upon giving the soundtrack a listen. I picked up their album entitled “New Morning” on iTunes and it’s awesome. Front man Casey McPherson relates that music is his way of communicating; this is clear from the awesome lyrics put together on the album.
Currently touring with Carolina Liar, Alpha Rev isn’t exactly a new band. They released their first album in 2007 under a different label, but are now signed with Hollywood Records, a major label, who umbrellas such artists as The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Jesse McCartney, and Breaking Benjamin to name a few.
Alpha Rev’s songs have been featured on Bravo’s NYC Prep, the ABC Family hit Greek, and the CW’s Melrose Place in addition to The Last Song Soundtrack. Alpha Rev makes the kind of music that gives you hope and takes you to another dimension. It’s soulful music with intense emotion that makes “New Morning” pleasure for the ears, and medicine for the soul.
Alpha Rev’s song, “Face Down,” will be featured on the new Guitar Hero and Band Hero Games. Alpha Rev is listed as one of VH1’s “you oughta know,” and now the title track of the album, “New Morning,” is currently climbing the VH1 Top 20 Countdown.
It’s soulful music with intense emotion that makes “New Morning” pleasure for the ears, and medicine for the soul. Look for Alpha Rev to have some smash hits. I highly recommend picking up a copy of “New Morning”- it’s the breath of fresh air the music industry has been waiting for.
