Help Me Please! Delivers the Humorous Side of Dark

Help Me Please! is a delightfully dark indie film written, directed and produced by the witty Pedro Brenner. Even at first glance, the film is painfully funny. A vulnerable young man is pleasantly disturbed by a brawny good samaritan.
Matthew Klingler plays the perfect young man, while Sean Bolger is everything you could want in Rocco’s character. It’s impossible to know that something so dark could be so amusing until you have seen Help Me Please!
Brenner is a documentary master who has crossed over into a realm untraveled by many filmmakers, merging controversy, emotion, and humor into one film.  There is something to be said for the way in which the story plays out. While one expects something to go down after meeting Rocco in the bathroom, the turn of events is brilliantly calculated to an unexpected point. Hopefully we can expect more dark humor from Brenner in the near future since Brenner has a refreshing vision that the film world has been desperately waiting to find.
